Depart for your pleasant flight to Hokkaido (NH842). Upon arrival, proceed to Tokachigawa Hot Spring Resort, famous for spring water rich in minerals. On the way, we stop by Nissho Pass Observation, catch an unbroken view of the broad Tokatsu plains. Tonight pamper yourself in one of the “onsen” (hot spring bath) within the hotel. This morning, visit the Lake Hill Farm to experience ice-cream making. After that, we head southward to Hakodate. Our first stop is Hakodate Harbours & Red Brick Warehouses where old brick warehouses have been renovated to serve as beer halls, restaurants and souvenir shops. Tonight we’ll catch a night view of the city at Mt. Hakodate, subject to weather condition (optional Ropeway ride). Accommodation: Hotel in Hakodate
After breakfast take a short drive to Tokachigawa Bridge, where you will have a close-up view of the beautiful Swans* which flew from Siberia during winter. Then drive towards Kushiro, where you may get to see the graceful Tancho* (Japanese red-crested crane). Next, proceed to visit Ainu Village, understand their lifestyle through the display of their precious heirlooms, traditional embroidery, song and dance. Tonight pamper yourself in one of the “onsen” (hot spring bath) within the hotel. Accommodation: Hotel in Lake Akan *The Swans and Cranes fly from Siberia during winter season only. This morning, we will visit the Yellow Sulphur-Live Volcano, one of the most beautiful lakes in Hokkaido – Lake Kussharo, where you’ll be able to view the magnificent lake as you immerse in the arms of Mother Nature. Next visit the Okhotsk Tower, the first observation tower in the world. Next journey to Sounkyo Gorge located at the foot of Mt. Daisetsu. The great canyon surrounded by cliffs on both sides is also a sight worth seeing especially the GINGA-no-taki waterfall and RYUJEI-no-taki waterfall. After breakfast, proceed to Ramen Village. Make a stop at Otokoyama Sake Brewery Museum, which has 330 years history of brewing some of the best sake in Japan. After which, we head down to the romantic town of Otaru, famous for its canal and old store warehouses. Visit Kitaichi Glass Shop, a store of exquisite glass art followed by the Music Box Shop, where you can enjoy looking at all the beautifully crafted music boxes and listen to its heavenly music. After breakfast, proceed to visit Nijo Fish Market where all sorts of delicacies that represent Hokkaido are lined up. Next, make a stop at the Odori Park to view the Sapporo TV Tower and finally the Underground Shopping Mall for a great shopping spree. Next, visit the Sapporo Beer Museum, this brick beer museum introduces the history of Sapporo beer as well as brewing processes and also a chance to taste the famous beer. Then proceed to Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill (entrance fee at own expense), one of the most popular sightseeing spots in Sapporo. Accommodation: Hotel in Chitose
After a good breakfast, we will check in for our flight back to Singapore (via Narita Airport or Haneda Airport)
