Your vacation begins as soon as you arrive in Amsterdam. Your Local Host will be waiting at your hotel to help you get settled. At your hotel, your Local Host will present you with a set of materials to help familiarize you with the city, so you can begin exploring immediately. The next morning, after included breakfast, we’ll pick you up at your hotel for guided sightseeing with a local expert. Your sightseeing includes a cruise by glass-roof boat through Amsterdam’s canals, the best way to see Amsterdam and its fascinating houseboats, famous bridges, and traditional homes. We’ll also take you to a diamond center and to the world-renowned Rijksmuseum. Here, you’ll see works by Rembrandt and other Dutch masters. And never fear…we’ve included VIP access, which means you get to skip the lines! After all, why be like all the other tourists wasting time standing in line?
You’ll have a full day in Amsterdam to explore on your own (with the support of your Local Host, of course). You may want to visit the Anne Frank House or the Van Gogh Museum, take an excursion to the fishing villages of Volendam and Marken, enjoy a candlelight cruise through Amsterdam’s Red Light District, or browse one of the many weekly markets. Your Local Host will offer suggestions and can help you arrange the activities you desire.
And don’t forget…your package includes daily breakfast, so you’ll feel fortified each day before leaving for your adventures in Amsterdam. Between the guides and sightseeing we’ve arranged, the hotel we’ve booked, and the breakfasts we’ve included, your only job is to have fun! Add the comfort of knowing you’ll have a Local Host to assist you throughout your stay, and it’s a dream vacation!
