DAY 1: SINGAPORE TO NIIGATA VIA NARITA/HANEDA

DAY 2 : CAVE D’OCCI WINERY & VINESPA / & VINESPA / TERADOMARI FISHERMAN WHARF / MT YAHIKO / YAHIKO SHRINE (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

Our first programme for today is Cave d’ Occi Winery & Vinespa, the famous setting that encourages enjoyment in the ever-changing moods of the vineyards. Explore its courtyard and vineyards for a refreshing change of pace. Our next stop is Teradonmari Fisherman Wharf. Very popular with the locals and tourists alike, here you can find many shops selling fresh seafood lined up on the road. After that we proceed to Mt. Yahiko, a volcano located close to the shore of the Sea of Japan. The view from the mountain is breathtaking. Yahiko Shrine which is located at the foot of Mt. Yahiko is regard as one of the best shrine in this region. Tonight we relax our body in the ‘‘onsen” within the hotel. Accommodation: Yahiko / Iwamuro Onsen

DAY 3 : TAKARAYAMA SAKE BREWERY / NORTHERN CULTURE MUSEUM / FURUSATO VILLAGE / FURUMACHI GEIGI (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

After a good breakfast, we visit Takarayama Sake Brewery to tour the facilities and witness the process and care to produce strong and delicious flavoured sake. From here, we proceed to Shirone Garden to enjoy the highest quality of fruits they produce throughout the year* and freshness of the gelato. After that, we proceed to Northern Culture Museum to overwhelming house that was once used by the Ito Family, a family said to be among the wealthiest of Niigata farmers with authority over 2800 peasant farmers and 58 rice holding storehouses. Our next stop is the exciting Niigata Furusato Village, a multi-purpose tourism faculty that comprises a Bazaar Hall with its collection of Niigata finest products and delicacies. At the “Appeal Hall” you will find Niigata history, culture and major tourism spots. Later, we will enjoy a charming performance by the traditional Furumachi Geigi, also known at the Geisha of Niigata. Accommodation: Hotel in Niigata City

DAY 4 : NIIGATA CITY / SADO ISLAND / OSADA SKYLINE / SADO GOLD MINE / SENKAKU BAY / GLASS-BOTTOM BOAT RIDE (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

This morning we will depart from Port of Niigata and head towards Sado Island. Our first stop upon arrival is Osado Skyline. Here you can enjoy the magnificent view of the entire island. After that we head towards Sado Gold Mine. Founded in 1606 and continuously mined for 388 years (til 1989), this is Japan largest gold and silver mine and a must-see place of interest. Next, is the sight-seeing boat cruise on a glass-bottom boat at Senkaku Bay. This area is a Quasi National Park, and its steep rocky cliffs and beautiful scenery are said to resemble Hardanger Bay in Norway. This evening, we will enjoy the beautiful sunset while we relaxing in the onsen. Accommodation: Hotel in Sado Island

DAY 5 : MEOTO-IWA (COUPLE ROCK) / TARAI-BUNE (TUB BOAT) RIDE / FERRY BOAT RIDE / NAGANO CITY / KARUIZAWA (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

After breakfast, we shall visit The Meoto-iwa Rock also known at the Couple Rocks. This popular tourist spot gives you the dramatic view of Nanaura Kaigan Coast. Next, we will experience Tarai-bune (tub boat) rides, a symbol of Ogi. Once (still is) used for collecting shellfish and seaweed from the rocky coastal waters. You can experience and appreciate the skills required to manoeuvre these tubs. Then we take the ferry boat to Naoetsu Port for our trip to Nagano City. Upon arrival, we head to the famous Nagano Zenjoki temple, built some 1400 years ago. Visited by 6 million visitors yearly, this temple is the largest in Eastern Japan. You can enjoy walking and shopping for souvenirs along Zenkoji Nakamisdori Street. Accommodation: Hotel in Nagano

DAY 6 : KARUIZAWA / TOKYO CITY TOUR (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

This morning we will visit Kyu-Karuizawa “Ginza” shopping street, a romantic ambiance suitable for a stroll or for buying souvenirs and local desserts. Here, jam is a local specialty that comes in multiple flavours. Do remember to buy some home. After that, we proceed to Karuizawa Outlet where you can explore more than 200 shops selling premium and local brands at reasonable prices. From here we proceed to Tokyo for a city tour. First stop is the famous Asakusa Kannon Temple and at the colourful Nakamise Street, you have a wide selection of souvenirs and traditional Japanese snacks. On the way back to the hotel, we will drive the magnificent Tokyo Sky Tree. Accommodation: Hotel in Tokyo

DAY 7 : TOKYO SINGAPORE (Breakfast)

This morning, have a last minute shopping in Tokyo until your transfer to Narita/Haneda Airport International Airport for your flight back to Singapore with sweet memories of ANA First Choice Holiday.
